Smart Glasses to go at LogiMAT

Lisa Gruber, November 19, 2018

At LogiMAT, the leading international trade fair for intra-logistics from February 19-21, 2019 in Stuttgart, Ubimax, world market leader for industrial wearable computing-based augmented reality (AR) solutions, presents a new project: Vision picking to go. With the self-developed web-based tool Frontline Creator, AR applications can be created in an instant using drag and drop.

Bremen, November 19: With a live demo of the solutions in Hall 8 Stand F80 at LogiMAT, Ubimax will show how compa-nies can make a big leap towards Industry 4.0 with just a few clicks. Visitors have a real take-away experience with a prize draw for smart glasses worth over 10,000 Euros. These will be equipped with the appropriate workflow directly on site for the winners and thus become Smart Glasses to go.
Ubimax has responded to the growing customer demand by introducing the Frontline Creator, a tool that allows customers to flexibly build and edit augmented reality applications themselves within minutes. The web-based graphical editor can be used to create and support intralogistics processes without programming knowledge. The configuration options include workflows and user interfaces as well as system interfaces to leading warehouse management systems (e.g. SAP, JDA or Manhattan). The new application Frontline Creator integrates seamlessly into the augmented reality platform Ubimax Frontline.

In logistics processes, workflows, user interfaces and system interfaces that are completely tailored to the customer's situation are central to success. Previously, such individualization was accompanied by high implementation costs and a certain dependence on the solution provider. The graphical editor significantly reduces the effort and the companies remain independent. Specific modifications and reactions to operational challenges can be executed directly in-house, which reduces implementation times and costs to a minimum. Fast and safe scaling is guaranteed by the fact that new software versions of the Ubimax Frontline platform can be installed without the loss of customer-specific configurations. By using the Ubimax solutions, all advantages of smart glasses can be exploited, with a fast payback time of often far less than one year.
“The user experience of our customers is always the focus in the ongoing development of our solu-tions,” explains Dr. Hendrik Witt, CEO of Ubimax. “ The Frontline Creator enables our logistics cus-tomers to bring augmented reality to life quickly and independently and to profit from it in an eco-nomically sustainable way.”
